Most venue owners know exactly how their venue is doing on the floor. You know which sessions are busy, which parties are booked and which days are quiet. What is much harder to see is how your venue looks to a parent sitting on the sofa at 9pm, deciding where to take the kids on Saturday. They check your Facebook page, glance at your Google reviews, look for a booking button and make up their mind in a couple of minutes.
That is why we built the free SynqOS Venue Health Check. In about 20 seconds it scores how your venue looks online, shows you where you are strong, and gives you one simple fix for anything that is holding your bookings back.
What is the Venue Health Check?
The Venue Health Check is a free tool on the SynqOS website. Enter your venue name, town, venue type, your website (optional) and your email address, and you get an instant score out of 100, a breakdown of the four areas that matter most to bookings, and a clear next step for each one. A copy of the report is emailed to you, so you can share it with your team or come back to it later. There is no account to create and nothing to connect.
What the health check looks at
- Social media: how often your venue has posted on its Facebook Page in the last 30 days. Regular posting carries the most weight in your score, because it is what keeps your venue front of mind with parents. If your last post was a while ago, the report tells you the date.
- Google reviews: your star rating and how many Google reviews you have, compared with the average rating of similar venues in your town.
- Online booking: whether customers can book online from your website, and which booking system you use, such as Roller, Booked it, WannaBook, Bookwhen or FareHarbor.
- Website basics: whether your website loads, is secure (https), shows clear contact details and links to your Facebook page.
How your score works
Each area is scored out of 100 and colour-coded green, amber or red, so you can see at a glance where to focus. The areas are then combined into one overall score, weighted by how much each one affects bookings. A score of 75 or more is graded Strong, 50 to 74 is Room to grow, and anything below 50 is Needs attention.
Why these four areas matter
Parents rarely book a leisure venue on the spot. They check whether you look open, active and well run. An up-to-date Facebook page tells them you are busy and current. Good Google reviews, especially compared with the venue down the road, give them the confidence to choose you. Online booking lets them commit straight away instead of waiting until they can phone you. And a secure website with clear contact details stops interested visitors drifting off before they book. Small gaps in any of these areas quietly cost bookings every week.
Example: what a report might look like
Here is an illustrative example. A soft play centre in a market town has posted on Facebook twice in the last 30 days. It has 85 Google reviews at 4.4 stars, while similar venues nearby average 4.5. It takes bookings online through Roller, and its website is secure and links to Facebook but has no clear contact details.
- Social media: 40/100. Two posts in a month is not enough to stay front of mind. The fix is to post two or three times a week.
- Google reviews: 65/100. A solid rating, slightly below the local average. The fix is to reply to every review, good and bad, and ask happy families to leave one.
- Online booking: 100/100. Nothing to change here.
- Website basics: 80/100. The fix is to add clear contact details so visitors with a question can get in touch.
- Overall: 67/100, graded Room to grow.
None of these fixes are big projects, but together they make the venue easier to find, easier to trust and easier to book.
How much time could you get back?
Every report also shows how much admin time SynqOS could take off your plate, using the same transparent assumptions as the free SynqOS ROI calculator and £25 an hour for a venue owner's or manager's time. The Marketing Manager, which plans, writes and schedules your social posts and campaigns, is estimated to save around 21 hours a month, worth about £525, for £40 a month. The Staff Manager, which handles rotas, leave, shift cover and staff costs, saves around 8 hours a month, worth about £200, for £30 a month.
Together that is roughly 29 hours a month, worth about £725, for £70 a month, a net gain of around £655 every month. If your own numbers are different, the report links straight to the ROI calculator so you can put in your real hours and costs.
Who is the Venue Health Check for?
It is built for independent leisure and hospitality venues that rely on local families and groups: trampoline parks, soft play centres, family entertainment centres, bowling alleys, laser tag arenas, climbing centres, escape rooms and cafés. If parents or groups find you online before they visit, the health check will show you how you come across.
